In January 2000, St. Bartholomew School was blessed with a miracle. An anonymous gift was bestowed upon the school, consisting of much needed new windows, interior and exterior doors, lighting, chalk boards and white boards in both the Addison building (built in 1950) and the Patterson building (built in 1962), a new roof and boiler in the Addison building, and other improvements to our physical plant.
Inspired by that gift, a group of parents formed the Angels Among Us committee to support program enhancements, so that the curriculum inside of the school matched our wonderful new surroundings. Since then, the Angels helped fund a new computer lab and Internet connectivity and support.

Consider naming St. Bartholomew School in your will. This is a wonderful way to leave a legacy and to give a gift that forever perpetuates our Catholic faith and the unparalleled benefits our school offers each child. A school endowment provides one of the most effective means of stabilizing finances and ensuring that the educational and faith formation experience remains Catholic, excellent, and vital at St. Bartholomew. It is a restricted fund that is invested and maintained in perpetuity. Only the interest generated is used. This means that gifts toward the endowment are gifts that keep on giving.
As the Angel program has grown, the committee---along with our pastor, Father Jason, and our principal have expanded the concept of the Angel fund to create a School Endowment. Mindful of our 83-year history of serving the northwest side of Chicago, we recognize the need for long-term planning so that we can continue our mission of excellent educational opportunities in a faith-based setting. The Endowment will fund not only program enhancements like technology, but also tuition assistance and major facilities projects.
